Frequently Asked Questions — Osteopathy in Midtown Toronto
What does an Osteopath in Midtown Toronto treat?
At Still Collective in Davisville Village, we treat neck and back pain, headaches and migraines, postural strain from desk work, athletic injuries, chronic tension and stress-related discomfort, mobility restrictions, and nervous system dysregulation. Our approach is whole-body focused.
What can I expect during my first osteopathy appointment in Davisville?
Your initial visit includes a detailed health history, structural and movement assessment, and hands-on osteopathic treatment within the same session. You will leave with clarity on what we found, why it matters, and what your personalized care plan looks like.
Why are the initial and follow-up appointment fees the same?
This is intentional. At Still Collective, we believe there should be no financial barrier to beginning care. Every appointment receives the same depth of clinical reasoning, hands-on precision, and time investment.
How many osteopathy sessions will I need?
The number of treatments depends on how long the issue has been present, the complexity of your case, and your goals. Many patients notice meaningful changes within the first few visits.
Is it normal to feel sore after osteopathic treatment?
Some mild soreness can be normal, particularly after your first session. This typically resolves within 48–72 hours. Staying hydrated and moving gently supports recovery.
How long are appointments?
Appointments are typically 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the service selected and your needs.
What should I wear to my osteopathy appointment?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing such as athletic wear is ideal. Treatment is hands-on and movement-based.
Is osteopathy covered by insurance in Ontario?
Many extended health benefit plans in Ontario provide coverage for osteopathic manual therapy. Coverage varies by provider. Receipts are provided for reimbursement.
